Kung-Fu Master

Kung-Fu Master is a side-scrolling action game where the player controls Thomas, a fighter tasked with rescuing Sylvia from the clutches of a gang. The game features five floors, each filled with enemies and hazards. Thomas can punch, kick, crouch, and jump using an eight-way joystick and two attack buttons. Punches deal more damage than kicks but have a shorter range. Thomas has a health meter, and taking too many hits will result in losing a life. Throughout the game, Thomas faces various enemies, including Grippers (who can drain his health), Knife Throwers (who throw knives at two heights), and Tom Toms (who can grab or somersault into Thomas). Each floor also introduces environmental hazards like falling objects, snakes, poisonous moths, fire-breathing dragons, and exploding confetti balls. Each of the five floors ends with a boss battle, where the player faces a "son of the devil" with its own health meter. To defeat each boss, Thomas must land enough strikes to drain their health bar before climbing the stairs to the next floor. If the player runs out of time or health, they must replay the floor. Completing a floor rewards the player with bonus points based on remaining time and health. The bosses include Stick Fighter, Boomerang Fighter, Giant, Black Magician, and Mr. X, the gang leader. Defeating Mr. X rescues Sylvia and restarts the game at a higher difficulty. Extra lives are awarded at 50,000 points, and the game enters "survival of the fittest" mode, where play continues until the last life is lost.
