Robotron - 2084

Robotron: 2084 is a fast-paced, 2D multidirectional shooter set in a dystopian future where robots have taken over the world, wiping out most of humanity. The player controls the "Robotron Hero," a mutant human tasked with saving the last remaining family members from the robot apocalypse. The game is played from a top-down perspective with a unique two-joystick control scheme. The left joystick controls the hero''s movement, while the right joystick controls the direction of fire, allowing the character to move and shoot in different directions simultaneously. Each wave consists of a single screen filled with various types of enemy robots, from invincible giants to smaller robots that create other enemies. Players must navigate through waves of enemies, avoiding contact with robots, projectiles, or obstacles to prevent losing lives. Human family members appear in each wave and can be rescued for bonus points, but they can also be killed or converted into enemies by certain robots. Players progress by destroying all vulnerable robots, rescuing family members, and surviving until the next wave begins. Extra lives are awarded at certain score thresholds, and the cycle continues until all lives are lost
