Waterworld

The game centers around the Mariner, the main character, who navigates a trimaran through a 3D world, battling enemies on personal watercraft known as Smokers.

It resembles the All-Range Mode from Star Fox 64, offering a 3D shoot 'em up experience. The goal is to prevent the Smokers from capturing Atollers, the inhabitants of Atoll, who are scattered throughout the playing field. To thwart the Smokers, players must use the L and R buttons on the Virtual Boy controller to shoot while maneuvering with the directional pads.

True to its Virtual Boy roots, Waterworld features a red-and-black color scheme and employs parallax scrolling to create a simulated 3D effect. Although multiplayer functionality was initially advertised, it was not included in the final release due to the unavailability of the Virtual Boy's link cable.
