Klax
Atari 7800, 1992
Klax is a classic tile-matching puzzle game similar to Dr. Mario and Columns. The objective is to catch colored tiles falling down a conveyor belt at the top of the screen and drop them into a bin below. The goal is to line up three tiles of the same color either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to score a "Klax." Each successful Klax is worth points, with different types of Klaxes yielding varying amounts of points.
In addition to the basic tile-matching mechanics, the game features advanced patterns that, when completed, award more points and may trigger special events or effects. The game offers a fast-paced, strategic challenge, as players must quickly decide where to drop tiles and aim to complete multiple Klaxes while preventing the bin from overflowing. The simplicity of the concept combined with the variety of tile patterns makes Klax a fun and engaging puzzle experience.
